Dried Arnica Flower

Arnica flowers are a member of the Daisy family and are a yellow to tan color. When infused in oil and used in skincare products, arnica flowers may help heal wounds, stimulate blood circulation, and tighten skin pores. It is not recommended for use on broken skin, and may irritate sensitive skin. For external use only.

Arnica montana, known commonly as leopard's bane, wolf's bane, mountain tobacco and mountain arnica, is a European flowering plant with large yellow capitula. It contains the toxin helenalin, which can be poisonous if large amounts of the plant are eaten.

Arnica may cause an allergic reaction in people who are sensitive to the Asteraceae/Compositae family. Members of this family include ragweed, chrysanthemums, marigolds, daisies, and many others. If you have allergies, be sure to check with your healthcare provider before applying it to your skin. Do not take arnica by mouth. It is suggested that you use a face mask when handling this herb since it has very light weight floating fuzz that likes to blow around.  

For external use only. All arnica species are toxic, even in small doses. Use of this herb is limited to topical applications and homeopathic preparations.
