Advanced Soap Making Class - Colors
Students must have a basic knowledge and experience in soap making before taking this class as we will skip the basics for the good stuff. We will be teaching the room temp Cold Process Method of soap making with the use of colorants using the students mold.
Class will cover:
- Using Additives (hops/herbals)
- Colorants - what different types there are out there (natural/powder/liquid)
- Swirls (colors)
- Zip Lock Method
- In pot/bucket Method
- Pouring on top method
- Color layers methods
Class will include oil and lye materials to make soap (up to 100 oz. of soap).
Molds larger than 100 oz. will be charged extra according to size for raw material used for making the soap.
If you do not own a soap mold, we do sell them
This class will be taught by Master Soap Maker Laurie Teason and/or Soap Maker Brent Parris (combined 30 years experience in the personal care industry). It will be taught at the Mile Highs Soap facility. Our classes are all taught in the “Hands On” style.
We will be teaching students how to use colorants in their cold process soaps.
*Class is limited to 6 students so sign up now to assure a spot. Class may be rescheduled if sign up is too low. Please note that we do not allow observers in the class, only students.
